Our Staff... Above and Beyond the Standards
Our exceptional staff brings an extraordinary combination of education, experience, and dedication to Butterfly Garden Learning Center. Our teachers hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, with many having earned Master’s degrees in Education. Together, our team brings decades of classroom experience, and several of our teachers have been part of the BGLC family since its beginning more than 30 years ago.
Their experience goes far beyond credentials. Our teachers are passionate early childhood educators who understand how young children learn, grow, and thrive—and are committed to making each child’s preschool experience meaningful, joyful, and nurturing.
The Directors...
Dana Ruane received her certification in Early Childhood Development from the University of Illinois, while Stacey Mladic received her certification in Specialized Educational Development from Illinois State University. Both earned Master of Arts degrees in Teaching and Leadership from Saint Xavier University.
Together, Dana and Stacey bring more than 50 years of classroom experience to Butterfly Garden Learning Center. In addition to their work with young children, they have trained teachers and administrators from various school districts in classroom technology, curriculum, and instructional practices.
Their shared experience as educators, trainers, and directors continues to guide BGLC’s commitment to providing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate preschool experience for every child.
